Dear Lord, what a privilege to come into Your presence and talk about something that is heavy on my heart. I come as Your child and feel like the Apostle John did in 1 John 3:1: “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!”
My concern is for the Serer nation, a people numbering over one million who enjoy their own language and culture. I speak to You on their behalf. Some Serer are serving You but the vast majority are without an understanding of Your saving grace. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the Serer in his prophecy as given in Matthew 12:21: “In his name the nations will put their hope.”
Today, may the Serer put their hope in Jesus Christ. May the light of the gospel burst forth upon their nation and illuminate the truth to them. May they hear, believe and receive Your wonderful provision of salvation. May those new believers be discipled into vibrant churches to forcefully advance the kingdom of God among their own people and across West Africa. In the Name of Jesus I pray, for Your glory and the good of the Serer people. Amen.
