Africa’s Unreached Peoples
In need of God’s Messenger and Message
Africa’s Unreached Peoples are tribal groups with distinct languages and cultures that need God’s messenger to share the gospel with them. Many know the prophet Jesus but have never been introduced to Him as Jesus, the Savior. Their eternal destiny is determined by lack of an adequate, living witness of the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Resistance to Christianity on the part of Africa’s Unreached Peoples has contributed to the absence of believers and churches among them. However, it appears the primary reason they have been neglected, Unreached in the distribution of the gospel, is that the Christian community is unaware of their existence and how deprived they are of gospel light.
The Bible clearly teaches obedient believers to focus on Africa’s Unreached Peoples. God revealed this truth to Abraham in Genesis 12:3, 22:18: “All peoples on earth will be blessed through you…and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”
Jesus commands us to “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). The focal point of the apostle Paul’s ministry is set forth in Galatians 3:14: “He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus.”
In Revelation 5:9, the apostle John clarifies his vision for making Christ known to all people groups: “And with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.” John foresaw a worshipping multitude of believers from all the people groups of the world.
Africa’s Unreached Peoples have a spiritual need. Followers of Jesus Christ have the resources to meet that need. May the Lord link believers and churches to Africa’s Unreached Peoples, resulting in their spiritual hunger being satisfied and the kingdom of God reigning in their hearts.
